an oldie but a goodie...

I used to dislike floral prints but now I absolutely love them.  not the painting them part or even creating them because it is quite difficult to come out with a great layout for floral prints.  Anyways I will get to my point.. this was one of my first floral prints that was created with gouche.  I used dark tones because I did not want the natural look of a flower yet I wanted a more graphic look.  I also created depth in the background which I  think makes the flowers stand out in a sense.  Still one of my favorites!
